Scandinavian Tattoo Conventions
Tattooing has become one of the fastest-growing retail businesses in Scandinavian consequently the number of local tattoo conventions has increased. In the recent years beside the international tattoo conventions in Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen and Helsinki we have been witnessing a growing number of various new local exhibitions in smaller cities such as Hammerfest, Trondheim, Norrköping and Malmö which to the surprise of many must of them has been very well visited and even managed to attract international audience.
As the market demographics for tattoo services are now skewed heavily toward mainstream customers and the single fastest growing demographic group seeking tattoo services is, middle-class suburban women, some organizers went all the way to change recent year's conventions and offer more to meet the most demanding needs of all the tattoo fans. They have combined tattoo convention with art exhibition, photography, tattoo contests, tribal dances,
exhibit of Flash and much more.
In the recent years the organizers worked even harder to give visitors a chance to see not only the legends of international tattoo, but also new emerging artists and/or consolidated artists in the Scandinavian and European scene, to really offer the best of international tattoo art.
Stockholm Ink Bash
StockholmInkBash apparently one of the oldest tattoo conventions in Scandinavian organised by Shark Production AB has combined this year event with art exhibition from Art Fusion and a live performance by S.N.O. and has managed to bring about 100 international artist to showcase the must multisided contemporary tattoo scene in Scandinavia.
The convention is an opportunity for tattoo enthusiasts to meet their favourite artist from around the world and familiarize themselves with diversifies style. Artists such as Benjamin Mose from Seattle/USA who has got international reputation for its colour realism and portrait style, or the well-known Spanish artist Eze Nunez, or French artist Steph D and many others Scandinavian and international names all in one place.
